Case Study: One Story, Three Platforms — Microsoft AI Houston

When I attended the Microsoft AI event in Houston, I needed to tell one story — walking into a room as the only one who looked like me, surrounded by GitHub Copilot and the Levi’s case study — but reach three very different communities: Substack readers who wanted the deep strategic analysis, LinkedIn connections who needed sharp professional positioning, and an Instagram community looking for something real and rhythmic. One story, three tones, three platforms.

How the 3-3-3 Method Works

I built a single prompt that takes one real experience and produces three platform-specific outputs — each tailored to how that audience actually reads:

Substack — colorful, personal, narrative-driven. Deep-dive analysis that respects the reader’s time and curiosity.

LinkedIn — structured, professional, client-facing. Sharp hooks, short paragraphs, positioned for thought leadership.

Instagram — rhythmic, soulful, community-first. Spoken-word cadence, signature voice, built for connection.

Why This Matters for Your Brand

A diverse community doesn’t consume content the same way on every platform — and a single generic post, copy-pasted everywhere, reads as generic everywhere. The 3-3-3 method means your story shows up authentically wherever your audience actually is.

See It In Action

Substack excerpt — from “When the Machine Doesn’t Know Your Name: AI, Copilot, and the Case for Creative Architects in the Room”:

“I walked into that Microsoft AI event in Houston knowing exactly what I came for… What I didn’t anticipate — though honestly, I should have — was standing in that room and being the only one who looked like me. That moment doesn’t break me. It clarifies me.”

LinkedIn excerpt:

“That moment isn’t an obstacle. It’s a data point. And I collect data for a living… This is not a diversity speech. This is a product architecture argument.”

Instagram excerpt:

“lemme tell you what happened Thursday… 25 years of knowing that the system was never built with us in mind — and building anyway. 🌈 …the only thing missing is you in the room. come build. 🪩🌈🧷🌐”
